Baptism at Forest Park

A public step of faith and a meaningful moment in your story with God.

What is Baptism?

What is Baptism?

Baptism is a meaningful step of obedience and celebration for those who have chosen to follow Jesus. It is an outward expression of an inward decision to trust Christ with your life. While baptism does not save you, it is a powerful way to publicly share your faith and mark a new beginning in your journey with God.

At Forest Park, baptism is a celebration. We celebrate new life, fresh starts, and the grace of God at work in people’s lives.

Is Baptism Your Next Step?

Is Baptism Your Next Step?

If you have decided to follow Jesus, baptism is a meaningful next step in that journey. It is not about having everything figured out or having a perfect story. It is simply a way to say yes to Jesus and to take a public step of faith.

If you are still exploring faith or have questions, you are welcome here too. We would love to talk with you, hear your story, and walk with you at your pace.

What to Expect on Baptism Sunday

What to Expect on Baptism Sunday

Once you sign up for baptism, our team will reach out with simple instructions so you know what to expect and how to prepare. You will not be left guessing about what to bring or where to go.

On the day of your baptism, we will guide you through each step. You will step out briefly during the service to get ready, connect with one of our team, and then be baptized during the service. Afterward, you will have space to change and celebrate with your family and friends.

Our goal is to make this a meaningful, unhurried moment for you. We will be with you throughout the process so you can be present and enjoy the experience.

Questions You Might Be Asking

Some people choose to be baptized again later in life after making a personal decision to follow Jesus. If you were baptized as an infant or before you understood what baptism represented, we would love to hear your story and help you think through your next step.

No. You will not be asked to give a speech or share anything you are not comfortable sharing. Our team will guide the moment in a way that feels simple and respectful of your story.

Yes. We love walking with kids and students who want to be baptized. We ask that parents be part of the conversation so children can understand what baptism represents and why they want to take this step.
